Danny Boyle is a genius. Given a logline that goes: ‘man, by himself, gets trapped, cuts off arm to live’ extending that to a fast moving, poignant movie, is a challenge to say the least. Boyle exceeds as he puts himself into the frame for director of the year, if not the past decade. 127 hours is the result of one director’s dream, fulfilled.
