Sagar Puranik, son of actor Sunil Puranik, has been acting since childhood. He’s been actively working on TV serials till late and is all set to debut with Ring Road Shubha. The youngster believes that acting is what he was always passionate about and wants to make a mark in showbiz on his own merit, just like his father did. “I play Shubha’s boyfriend in the film. I have done four serials so far and am looking forward to my debut in films. I had two options to learn my basics, one was to go to an acting school or the other was to learn on the job in television. I chose the latter. I’ve got to learn from formidable names like Shruti Naidu and B Suresha,” he says. Sagar is also confident about his choice of an unconventional film. “I got this role after four rounds of audition. When my father got to know I bagged this film, he was as excited as I am. He only advised me to work on my physique and present myself well on screen,” says Sagar.
