ACM Awards 2019: Preview the 54th Annual County Music Awards with Reba McEntire

The 54th Academy of Country Music Awards air this Sunday on CBS, and we’ve got everything you need to know ahead of the big show!

The first thing you need to know before you watch the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards this Sunday is who’s hosting! Yup, Reba McEntire is back as host. The country icon has hosted the ceremony – get this! – a total of 16 times, making her the most prolific host in academy history. And not only is Reba hosting, but she’ll be doing one of the many show-stopping performances already confirmed.

R&b singer Khalid has also been added to the long list of performers, doing a duet with country crooner Kane Brown. There will be tons of other exciting collaborations too, including Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Dierks Bentley and Brandi Carlile, and Miranda Lambert with the King of Country George Strait!

Now let’s see who’s got the most nominations! Dan + Shay and Chris Stapleton lead this year’s nominations with six each. And the night’s greatest honor – the ACM Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award will be given to Jason Aldean.

But Aldean’s not the only one we know is getting an award. Ashley McBryde received a surprise phone call from Carrie Underwood with news that she’s won her first ACM award! Lanco and Luke Combs were also surprised with phone calls from Carrie. And here’s a surprise for you – all three of them will be performing Sunday night too.

Getting you ready for Country Music Awards on the Hotlist.
