Boys will be Boys | Short Film

a BULLHORN pictures production

‘Boys will be Boys’ is a short film about a boy who misses his school bus while making chits to copy in his exam. The film goes through the little boy’s struggle in reaching his exam on time in order to pass the year.

Koshir, who plays the lead hasn’t acted ever or even thought about it but has done a real fab job according to me! He’s an aspiring cricketer, wish him all the luck 🙂
Also, he has never ridden a scooter before. In our one day of shooting, we had to teach him. The scariest part is when he goes down slope, as soon as he exited frame, we just ran down after him and found him safe at the side of the road 🙂

This short film was shot over a year back with my Canon EOS 550D and a hired shoulder rig. There was absolutely no sync sound apart from the auto gain picked up by my camera mic. After Fassbender’s ONE WEEK DEADLINE video I decided to edit this and submit it for Your Film Festival.
The Edit was all done in a day, and recording the Foleys too three. They were all recorded using my 550D with the Magic Lantern firmware, including the Mother’s dialogues.
