NEW OSCAR EXHIBIT
The Hollywood Museum and The Envelope are co-presenting a new exhibit titled “And The Winner Is…” aimed at celebrating entertainment awards and featuring costumes.
The costumes range from 2006’s Academy Award nominated films as well as from past Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy winners.
“Oscar nuts coming to Los Angeles for Oscar season can actually see all this stuff at an exhibition at The Hollywood Museum just a few feet away from the Kodak theatre,” Tom O’Neil from The Envelope told AP Entertainment.
“There are costumes from ten Oscar nominated films and memorabilia from classic Oscar winning movies like ‘Gone With the Wind,” O Neil said.
Academy Award nominee Jackie Earle Haley attended the reception to admire the costumes and memorabilia from ten current Oscar nominated films including his own, “Little Children.”
“You know I’m just super excited. I really am,” noted Haley. “I haven’t been counting the days because I know it’s a week and… I’ve been incredibly busy. Which has been kind of nice. Kind of keeps you focused on other stuff instead of thinking about this. I’m so overwhelmed with the nomination that I’m just looking forward to going and having a fun time.”
