Robert Pattinson drops an f-bomb to Reese Witherspoon, Kisses Taylor Lautner and leaves Kristen Stewart hanging at 2011 MTV Movie Awards. Video hosted by Diana Madison / Twitter:
If there was anything they were going for at this year’s MTV Movie Awards, it was shock value.
First, Justin Timberlake grabbed a handful of Mila Kunis, making straight men hate him even more. Then Mila grabbed Justin’s crotch in retaliation. The whole thing reminded me of Paul Rudd groping Eva Mendes at the Independent Spirit Awards. We get it, Hollywood, you like feeling each other up.
Later on in the show, when Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart won for Best Kiss, the couple did a bit on stage, with Pattinson saying, “I feel bad because I don’t feel like kissing you.” He added, “There’s someone else in the audience who I think will appreciate it a little more,” then rushed into the audience and swapped spit with Taylor Lautner.
And Pattinson didn’t stop there. When he presented the Generation Award to Reese Witherspoon, the Twilight star said in reference to their work in Water for Elephants:
“I didn’t cut you out. But I did f-ck you.”
The F-bomb dropped on the East Coast, as censors couldn’t cut it from the live feed. And the audience was so impressed at hearing a curse word, they didn’t even notice there wasn’t a joke there.
Trying to shock us into laughter with two men kissing, public groping and the F-word? It’s pretty obvious the show was written for the Teen Mom crowd.
