On Thursday, March 10, 2016, Jesse Plemons was inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame. Actress Adrianne Palicki presented the award to Carol.
Jesse Plemons, a Dallas native, breakout role was in the iconic Texas series, Friday Night Lights, in which he played high school football player and band front man Landry Clarke. For his role as cold blooded killer Todd Alquist in the Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning hit show Breaking Bad (2008-2012), Plemons was
recognized by IGN as 2013’s best TV villain. His recent film roles include Kevin Weeks in BLACK MASS, the Whitey Bulger biopic opposite Johnny Depp, as well as air force pilot Joe Murphy in Steven Spielberg’s Academy Award nominated cold war drama, BRIDGE OF SPIES. Previously, he appeared in the epic action film BATTLESHIP (2012), in a role written specifically for him, and opposite Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Paul Thomas Anderson’s critically lauded drama, THE MASTER (2012). Plemons stars in the upcoming film OTHER PEOPLE (2016) opposite Molly Shannon. The film was an opening night selection of the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. Currently, Plemons is also being celebrated for his role on season 2 of the Golden Globe award-winning show, Fargo, for which he won a Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series. Plemons will also be seen starring opposite Tom Cruise in Doug Liman’s MENA, in theaters
